MAX STOSSEL
Two-Part Parent Presentation &
In-School Student Assembly
JRMS and JRMS PTA are proud to welcome Max Stossel - an award-winning poet, filmmaker and speaker - to talk to our kids and parents about social media. The important conversation that Max brings is less "social media is bad" and more "here are the ways these companies are profiting off your time and attention" as well as ways these platforms are INTENTIONALLY HINDERING your child’s potential and success.

IN-SCHOOL STUDENT EVENT:
LIVE, IN-SCHOOL ASSEMBLY FOR OUR STUDENTS:
May 5th at 10:00 at JRMS (Grades 6, 7 and 8th)

In his signature presentation, “We’ve Been Sneaking Into Your Brains,” Max will illustrate some of the specific ways technology is designed to be addictive, distracting and manipulative. He'll provide tools to help combat these designs and help our kids feel more empowered to better understand and take control of their activities online. Max will also open up much-needed discussion among peers about the impact of phones and social media on their lives.
