8th Grade Snowball Dance

Greetings 8th Grade Parents,

This is a friendly reminder to please send in the Snowball Dance form and payment of $30 by this Wednesday, January 16th. After that date, the cost will increase to $35. Thank you!

The Snowball Committee is very excited about the upcoming Snowball Dance, the first semi-formal dance of 8th grade! As a reminder, the event is scheduled for Friday, January 25th from 7:00 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. at JRMS. (The snow date is February 1st.) We have been working hard preparing for the event, however, WE NEED YOUR HELP TO MAKE IT SPECTACULAR for the kids!

Next week, we will be transforming the gym into a winter wonderland! It will take many, many hands to make this possible. While things are already in progress, there is a lot to do, especially with regard to decorating. We are seeking volunteers to help with set up on Thursday evening, January 24th, from 6:00 - 10:00 p.m. (a simple dinner will be provided). Please keep in mind that we will ask for flexibility regarding jobs on Thursday night to get everything accomplished; this list is just a place for us to start. If you cannot be there for the entire decorating time, you are welcome to join in anytime from 6:00 - 10:00 p.m. In addition, we will need volunteers on Friday, January 25th, during the event and at the end to clean up, break down, and put decorations away.

On the SignUpGenius (https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c0f4fa5ad2ba0f49-2019), you will see a breakdown of all the tasks that need to be done. Please take a look and sign up where you wish to help. The more volunteers, the better! If you are unavailable on Thursday or Friday, you instead may choose to contribute items needed for dessert.
